Insurance Policy Online
are you required to tell an insuranace company you’ve had an accident when signing up for a new policy?
i had an accident on 11/27/08 and it was my fault. i am trying to get a new insurance policy online. when filling up the form, am i required to tell them i had an accident? is this required by law? can you get in trouble for not telling them about the accident? if i dont tell them, can they find out, and increase my rates?
If they ask, you have to tell them. Otherwise, you’re doing insurance fraud.
Oh, and by the way, they WILL double check your answers, and WILL find out, and then either increase your rate, or cancel you.
